Dr. Amie is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Sleep Medicine. After five years of private, insurance-based practice, she felt she could best serve her patients by switching to a Direct Primary Care model of medicine, where she has more time to connect with and care for her patients, which is the core of her life-long desire to enter the field of medicine.
Dr. Amie graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency and Sleep Medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is also an FAA certified Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and HIMS AME.
She is married, has 1 adorable daughter, and loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and spending time outdoors.
Greg Stringfellow is married to Dr. Amie and serves as Milepost Medical’s IT guru, technical genius, handyman, and all around general business advisor. In addition to helping out at Milepost Medical, he runs his own IT consulting business, ComputerTex.
Shelby Mikulenka is a native Houstonian and a Certified Medical Assistant. She is married with 2 beautiful daughters, 2 cats, and 2 silly dogs. Shelby went to Sanford Brown in San Antonio and graduated in 2013 on the Dean’s list with a 4.0. Shelby joined the practice in January 2017 and loves working in a DPC office because of the relationships she has been able to build with our patients. She is also known as our office vampire as she does lots of blood draws on our patients. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, reading, any family activities she can find, and ALL things sloth related.
